Hey, all!
Juuuuuuuuuuust in case anyone cares (and I won’t be offended if the answer is no), I’m going to be posting research notes from articles I’m reading for my doctoral coursework in education / leadership / organizational theory.
You can find those thoughts here: https://rameylori.wordpress.com/blog/
I’ve also tabbed them in on this blog under the menu as a separate page. The menu is now on the upper left – I refreshed my blog theme (not sure what I think of it, but change is probably good).
Right now I’m heading toward a topic related to the slow shift in higher education to more research-backed approaches to teaching, especially those which are learner-centered. I’m curious how academic middle managers (like deans and department heads) understand their role in that process and what obstacles they face.
So if I’m not writing much here, it’s because I’ve got a giant pile of things to write for my research. But I do have some Hugo novel reviews to post, and I’ll get to those as I have time. Hugo awards will be announced at the end of the week!!! I listed A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine as my #1 novel pick.
